RANGE RULES – Please read before you shoot
- Your membership dues must be paid and current for the present year.
- All federal, state, and local firearm laws must be obeyed.
- Keep firearms unloaded with actions open at all times until ready to shoot.
- Point the muzzle in a safe direction.
- Treat every gun as if it is loaded.
- Wear eye and ear protection. (Prescription eyewear fulfills the eye protection requirements.)
- Alcohol and drugs are not permitted.
- The use of tannerite is prohibited.
- Keep finger off trigger until ready to shoot.
- Know your target and what is beyond.
- No cross range shooting! (Only fire at target on your assigned lane.)
- Shooters must clean up targets, cartridges (fired and unfired) and other debris in their lanes when finished shooting and deposit these items in trash cans.
- No illegal or fully automatic firearms or ammunition allowed.
- Shotguns not allowed except when shooting “slug” ammunition.
- Unload and store guns with the muzzle pointing up in gun rack when changing target.
- All commands of the range officer or “As Posted” will be followed.
- Any person born after December 31, 1979 and is 12 years of age must have a valid state approved hunting safety certification except youth age 12 and under must be accompanied by a paid member who is a parent or guardian on a one-on-one basis.
- A shooter must be 21 years of age or older to shoot a handgun unless accompanied by a paid member who is a parent or guardian.
- There is a one hour time limit when someone is waiting to use your bench. If no one is waiting to use your bench the shooter may continue shooting.
- No cans or bottles are to be used as targets.
- Only bona fide paper, tag board, hard board or card board targets may be used.
